All right. They're working toward the heart of his request. Deep breath, V. You can do this. ]
I -
[ And then, all at once, it comes out in a rush: ]
I need you to teach me combat magic! Soon. If possible.
[ His eyes are wide as he stares into the communicator, and he sounds just mildly desperate. ]

Why do you need to do this? That's very strong phrasing.

I may have - through very little fault of my own - angered someone with superpowers. And... possibly also challenged him to a fight next we meet.

[ He's not good at being very honest, okay. He's not even good at being a little bit honest. But for Manuela, and for the sake of sparing himself further future embarrassment, he'll try. ]
Some weeks ago I entered into an argument with a young man. The confrontation become physical, at which point I learned that he had the power to cause explosions - a fact which he had, mind you, withheld from me in quite an unsportsmanlike manner.

Then, I managed to escape, but today the brat - er, the young man put out a rather inflammatory discussion on the network, and... well, one thing led to another. To put it simply, I... I challenged him. To a rematch. Yes, I know, it was stupid, berate me all you like, just help me - !

And really asking for help.]
Very well. I will train you myself. I can't promise you'll master magic quickly but I can at least train you in how to defend yourself against it for the time being. Not everyone has a gift for it but you can at least gain the skills you need to be able to keep yourself safer.

Thank you so -
[ He cuts off what sounded like it was shaping up to be a much more profuse profession of gratitude, looking annoyed with himself. ]
- er, that is. I appreciate it.
[ Ahem. He straightens his tie. ]
When shall we start...?

And do try to stay out of trouble until then please.
